Free Horror Movies on Tubi

Tubi has tons of free movies and TV shows to choose from if you're still bored during quarantine. I've listed a few of my favorites here, but there are a ton of good ones available, so check it out.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Tobe Hooper's TCM is a classic. I'm guessing most horror fans worth their salt have seen it, or at least don't have to be sold on it by me. If you've missed out so far or are jonesing for another viewing, now's the perfect time, since it's currently free.

Bait
Kimble Rendall's sharks-in-a-supermarket film is played  straight and is surprisingly effective. A massive storm traps a group of people in a flooded supermarket, and there are sharks in the water, picking off those unlucky enough to fall below the surface. Our cast tries to figure out an escape plan while staying out of the water's reach. Bait is an intense thriller with impressive special effects and a solid cast that includes Julian McMahon (Charmed, Monster Party) and Sharni Vinson (You're Next, Patrick remake).

Hellbaby
Hellbaby is a New Orleans set horror comedy directed by and co-starring the geniuses behind Reno 911, Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant. Hellbaby revolves around a couple, Jack and Vanessa (Rob Corddry and Leslie Bibb), whose new home is haunted. Pregnant Vanessa soon finds herself possessed, and a couple of priests (Lennon and Garant) are called in to help. Keegan-Michael Key also appears as an intrusive neighbor and steals every scene he's in.

Hatchet
Adam Green's 2006 backwoods slasher, Hatchet, is the equivalent of a cozy sweater or a home cooked meal to slasher fans. With its refreshingly simple premise, a boat load of tourists getting trapped in the Louisiana swamplands with a deformed killer, and fantastically gory kills, Hatchet doesn't set out to reinvent the slasher wheel; it simply seeks to entertain fans. And it succeeds marvelously. Green is clearly a devoted genre fan; you can feel his enthusiasm in every minute of this movie. Bonus: there's three sequels if the first entry leaves you wanting more.
