Free Horror Movies to Watch During Quarantine

Stuck at home due to the corona virus? Bored? Well never fear! Here are some great free horror movies streaming on a site near you. Check them out and check back here for my list of free horror TV shows that are also available to help rid you of your quarantine blues.

Netflix

The Babysitter
Up and coming scream queen, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) is my dream girl, Bee, in this hilarious horror comedy.

Candyman
Check out the original before the reboot comes out. This Clive Barker adaptation is one of the few movies that have ever really scared me. Tony Todd is terrifying in the titular role.

The Evil Dead
Classic Sam Raimi horror comedy. A must for every horror fan. Bruce Campbell rocks.

Life After Beth
Stellar zombie comedy with a fantastic cast, including Aubrey Plaza as the titular undead Beth, plus Matthew Gray Gubler, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, and Anna Kendrick to name a few.

Little Evil

Terrifier

Tremors
Classic 1990s monster movie starring Kevin Bacon and giant underground worms (aka graboids). Pretty lighthearted and loads of fun. This is one I've watched hundreds of times and never gotten bored with.

Amazon
Cabin in the Woods
If you're a horror fan and haven't checked this one out yet, what are you doing? This one's a must watch for fans. Saying anymore would spoil it.

Dog Soldiers
Another favorite of mine that I must have watched hundreds of times over the years. This British werewolf movie features a strong cast, witty script, and badass werewolves. I couldn't ask for a better film.

Hell House LLC trilogy
This found footage trilogy is one of the better examples of that subgenera that I've seen in a while. It's necessary to watch these in order. Although the first one's probably the best, the mystery builds with each entry, and the final movie provides a surprisingly satisfying conclusion. Bonus: creepy clowns.

Shudder
Howl
This British werewolf film is perfect for fans of the above mentioned Dog Soldiers (even including a cameo from that film's Sean Pertwee) and features what are possibly the most terrifying werewolves I've ever seen committed to film.

Monster Party
Another horror comedy, Monster Party concerns three thieves who decide to rob a wealthy household, not realizing its inhabitants are (sometimes barely) reformed serial killers. Featuring an astounding cast, including Robin Tunney, Julian McMahon, and the stunning Erin Moriarty (The Boys).

Terrified

The Witch in the Window

Hulu
Grabbers
This Irish monster movie is absolutely hilarious. A group of islanders must avoid being eaten by giant monsters by staying as drunk as possible. It's as insane as it sounds and loads of fun. The monster designs are pretty badass too.

Mom and Dad
Starring Nicholas Cage doing what he does best, this horror comedy is pretty zany in the best possible way. Parents everywhere are suddenly driven by mysterious homicidal urges to kill their offspring. This one features Lance Henriksen in a cameo role as Cage's dad, and their knock-down drag-em-out fight is not to be missed.

Tubi
Disturbing Behavior
One of the best (and most overlooked) of the post-Scream teen horror wave, Disturbing Behavior is a fun conspiracy movie, featuring an early horror performance from future scream queen Katharine Isabelle.

Housebound
Raved about here.

Sorority Row
Another teen horror movie, this slasher is better than anyone gives it credit for. A remake of the good, but flawed, 80s slasher, House on Sorority Row, this movie is a lot of fun, particularly the parts with Carrie Fisher as the shotgun wielding house mother.
